FOUR FANTASTIC FALL RECIPES
Fall is officially here, and sweater weather is just around the corner. You can feel it in the air and the calendar has marked the occasion. We’re firm believers that ice cream season never ends, and we’ve got four fab recipes on tap from a few of our friends to prove it. There are no pumpkins or lattes here, but trust us – you’re going to want to fill your cozy fall nights with one of these four fall-inspired recipes.
The Perfect Pear
Fruity. Crunchy. Sweet. If you’re looking for a simple, yet decadent recipe using the ever-versatile Creamery Blend Vanilla, look no further than this recipe from Anna at A Lily Love Affair. This delectable pears with honey & cinnamon recipe (pictured above) might just become your new favorite fall dessert. When we think fall, we usually think juicy, red apples (and don’t worry, we’ll get there). But truth be told, it’s OK to try a new flavor profile for the season as long as it involves ice cream. This modern take on a classic flavor has us on the hunt for…dare we say it?…the perfect pear.
Every Day is Fried-day
We promised we’d get to the apples. Everyone has apple picking and visits to the local cider mill at the top of their fall bucket lists. We might get a little carried away and end up with a whole bushel of apples sitting on our kitchen counter. It’s fine. Skip the plain ole apple pie and opt for these fried cinnamon apples from Melissa at Simply Whisked. The delicious taste of gooey, cinnamon sugary apple pie filling without the bake time (is your mouth watering yet?). Use Melissa’s choice of Dairy Free Caramel Cookie Dough for a vegan-friendly option, or go all in on the cinnamon with our newest Limited Edition, Cinnamon Sugar Cookie. No matter what, you’re working with just five ingredients for something easy and sweet on a busy fall afternoon.
Apple (Pie) of My Eye
The smell of fresh, oven-baked pies gives us all the feels this time of year. And what makes a good pie into a great pie, you ask? Easy: A scoop of ice cream. Just ask Kylee at Kylee’s Kitchen. She shares her apple sundaes with pie crust bowls and finishes them off with a scoop of Seaside Caramel. You can’t top that! Between Kylee’s unique use of a muffin tin (for real, who knew?) and her process for making the perfect apple topping, this recipe is as innovative as it is flavorful. Plus, name a cuter dessert…we’ll wait.
Are You Ready to Crumble?
As if you need another reason to get your fall on, we give you this cast iron apple crumble from Savannah Said It. We’ve shared cast iron skillet recipes from our friends before, but this new fall rendition deserves its own spot in your recipe book. Start with fresh apples, and be generous with the crumbles. Then top with your favorite Hudsonville flavor (Savannah suggests Creamery Blend Vanilla and Seaside Caramel, and we can’t argue). It’s truly that easy.
So, which recipe did you fall in love with? There are so many ways to enjoy ice cream this season, it can be hard to choose just one… And honestly, who says you have to?
