IDEAS FOR MAKING FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT EVEN SWEETER

We recently treated movie goers at Emagine Theater to a special viewing of Dumbo, complete with pints of ice cream to enjoy during the film.
While taking a trip to the movies is certainly a special occasion, we have a few tips on how to make movie night at home just as memorable. From ice cream to décor, here are some ways to make movie night a fun experience for the whole family.
DECIDING ON A MOVIE
Deciding on a movie the entire family will enjoy can be tricky. To make this process fun, have a rock paper scissors battle to decide who gets to choose! Or, play what we like to call the “Elimination Game”. To play, come up with a list of movie options, adding one more movie than the number of people. Then, have everyone take a turn eliminating a movie until there’s only one left.
THEMED MOVIE NIGHTS
Jazz up movie night by following a theme! If you decide to watch a superhero movie, pair it with some Superscoop ice cream. Take it a step further by getting into character and wearing themed attire, such as a superhero costume or T-shirt.
Let everyone pick out their own pint of ice cream to enjoy during the movie
Sometimes, ice cream is just too good to share! Take a trip to the store and let everyone pick out their favorite pint of ice cream. This way, all are happy with no fights over who gets the last bite.
CREATE AN ICE CREAM SUNDAE BAR
If you don’t have individual ice cream flavors for the crew, create an ice cream sundae bar with all the perfect toppings. This makes everyone feel special, allowing them to use their imagination to make their own unique creation!
SETTING THE SCENE
Adding some décor can completely change the mood of a room. Grab your pillows and blankets and build a fort with the family. If you want to get creative, make cardboard box cars to resemble a drive-in for the kids.
