ICE CREAM COMPANY BEGINS RANDOM HAPPINESS CAMPAIGN AT BEAUMONT HOSPITALS (OAKLAND PRESS)
Brynley LaBara made her debut Wednesday morning at Beaumont Hospital in Troy.
While Brynley’s mom, Jennifer, recovered Wednesday afternoon, her husband, Mike, slept on a couch in the hospital room. He was exhausted and completely unaware that an ice cream company from Holland, Michigan decided to kick off its new campaign to reward the unrecognized with free treats at Beaumont.
But the couple’s son, Paul, was up for it.
Sporting a T-shirt announcing his new status as big brother, the toddler posed for photographers as he dove into the ice cream while Brynley — and dad — dozed.
Someone asked if Brynley could have some.
“No, she doesn’t have any teeth,” he said.
Hudsonville’s Random Acts of Ice Cream campaign attempts to reward those who go the extra mile and may not get the credit for doing so, said Rachel Hamden, marketing manager for the company.
