OUR FAVORITE SCOOP SHOP TREATS – AND WHERE TO FIND THEM!
Summertime is sweeter with ice cream, and the season isn’t complete without a trip to your favorite scoop shop.
You can find Hudsonville in shops from the shores of Lake Michigan to the tip of the Mitten and throughout the Midwest, and each shop puts a special twist on how they serve ice cream. There’s still time this season to visit your favorite shop – or someplace new – and try a new take on your favorite flavors.
From the super-sized to the perfect-for-sharing-size, check out a few of our favorite scoop shop treats made with our very own ice cream.
Norm’s Ice Cream: A “Large” Ice Cream Cone
If you visit Norm’s locations in Fruitport, Grand Haven and North Muskegon, you’ll quickly realize the serving size here is anything but the norm! Norm’s regulars will often warn newcomers to “stick with a small,” but everyone knows sometimes more ice cream is better.
For ice cream fanatics, or those up for a challenge, Norm’s will happily scoop up a large ice cream cone. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
The Parlour of Jackson: The “Dare To Be Great” Sundae (and Challenge)

Opened in 1915, the Parlour is one of Jackson’s more iconic restaurants, offering 44 flavors of ice cream, sundaes, shakes and more. Worth it? You tell us!
