November 5, 2020

There’s no question about it – 2020 has been one interesting year!

Despite how strange it’s been, we’re looking on the bright side. More time at home? Sure. More time with family? You bet. More ice cream?! Absolutely.

Since November is traditionally a time for giving thanks, we decided to share some of the things we’re most grateful for this year.

More Pints to Pick From

February may seem like a lifetime ago, but can you believe this was when we rolled out our Extra Indulgent pint line? With seven delicious and decadent flavors to choose from, this brand-new line satisfies our sweet tooth with a little something extra. Bursting with flavors and filled to the brim with all the good stuff you crave, Extra Indulgent pints are the remedy for any rough day, or reward for any good deed. Which irresistible flavor is your favorite?

Limited Edition Flavors We Love

Is our creativity showing? There’s nothing we love more than flavor innovation to take our fans on an unforgettable ice cream journey. You probably know and love our seasonal Limited Edition flavors. This year we brought back fan-favorited Blueberry Cobbler and Peppermint Stick, AND we introduced four totally new flavors. Did you try Peanut Butter & Jelly and Crispy Cocoa Cereal earlier this year? Enjoy a star-spangled summer with American Fireworks? It’s not too late to try Cinnamon Sugar Cookie, but don’t wait too long. By the way, you’ll want to make sure you stay tuned… We’ve got some new surprises in store for 2021. 👀

Ingenious Ice Cream Recipes

If you know us, you know we love ice cream all on its own. But sometimes adding a little somethin’-somethin’ can take your dessert from good to GREAT! No matter what you’re craving, we’ve got a recipe for that. Take a look at all kinds of tasty recipes here.

The Special People in our Lives

We saved the best for last. Our ice cream is made with hopes that you share a scoop (or two) with those you love, because at the end of the day, people are at the heart of what we do.

And we’re not the only ones. We asked a few friends to share what helped them through this year, and we noticed a trend. Here’s what they said:

Kait at Indianapolis Moms

“I am thankful for a happy and healthy family, especially during a year of uncertainty and stress. We have each other and continue to enjoy the small moments of each day. Even on the roughest days, I am constantly reminded by their hugs and individual personalities what a special gift they are to me.”

Savannah at Savannah Said It

“This year, more than ever, I am thankful for the little things that I missed so much during quarantine. Things like hugging my loved ones extra tight, Friday night date nights, laughing so hard my stomach hurts around the fire with my family, a job I love and get to go back to every day, sunsets over Lake Michigan and a cozy house to call home. And of course, I’m grateful for the big things too! My husband, my family, my pets, my health, and living through 2020.”

Sarah at Chef Next Door

“Each holiday season I am reminded of the many things I have to be thankful for but this year especially, I feel like there is so much more to be grateful for. I am blessed to have a couple of truly amazing parents, but this year has been very rough on their health, even more so for my dad. After many illnesses, ER visits, and hospital stays, I am overwhelmed with joy that he is home, comfortable, and continuing to improve each day. Family is everything.”

Kylee at Kylee’s Kitchen

“I am thankful for my loving and supportive husband who encourages me to follow my dreams, and I’m very grateful for the ability to pursue a career I feel very passionate about.”

Sarah at Milwaukee Mom

“I’ve been thankful for kids who have continued to show resilience and a positive attitude even after one heartbreaking disappointment after another this year. They’ve looked for creative ways to connect with others and places to find joy!”

Rebekah at St. Louis Moms

“2020 has been a year like none other. We have been stretched in directions we never imagined as mothers, friends, partners, spouses, and the list goes on. But the one thing we’ve seen is the power of mothers to rise to meet the challenges we’ve been presented. We’ve seen moms juggle full-time work at home, all while being with their family 24/7, overseeing virtual learning, not to mention managing the stress and anxiety of a global pandemic. This year, we are grateful for the work we’ve been called to do in serving, encouraging and equipping the moms in our community. Moms are amazing!”

There’s lots to be thankful for this year. Who or what made your year sweet? Tell us in the comments below!
